We critically assessed our position in the Dental Marketplace, attention was directed toward the most significant forces influencing our practice. Our goal was to find a home for the immediate full arch fixed treatment protocol within the armamentarium of everyday restorative practice. The efficiencies and systems of corporate dentistry have brought about a new level of sophistication to the business of dentistry. Specific components of this model must be incorporated into private practices in order to thrive in this new era. A passionate vision of where our practice should be positioned was developed. With this new vision, a strategy for execution and implementation was developed to get us there; we call it ContinuDent. ContinuDent was created based upon an Interdisciplinary TEAM approach. We are committed to learning, reinventing and creating life-changing treatments and advanced patient outcomes.   We believe this model serves as an essential component to maintain relevance in today's changing marketplace.  It is based upon demystification and implementation.  The ContinuDent marketing material, patient education and online office learning modules allow for identification, diagnosis, and enhanced treatment outcomes for those patients who are candidates and choose treatment.   This program was created to help educate the entire Oral healthcare provider team: Dentist, Hygienist, assistant and front office to be prepared to offer and understand the benefits of this transformative treatment to those patient's who are appropriate candidates. About: Dr L Eric Pulver received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1989. He then furthered his studies as a clinical fellow in the Osseo-integration (Dental Implant) Unit, Dept. of Prosthodontics, at the University of Toronto under Dr. George Zarb. Dr Pulver graduated with a Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University in Chicago in 1995. He served as an assistant professor at Northwestern University Dental School prior to becoming the Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals from 1999-2006. He is currently is an adjunct instructor at Indiana University Dental school where he teaches and was a co-founder of a Real World Dentistry course that began over 15 years ago. Dr Pulver was recently awarded with an honorary IU School of Dentistry Alumni recognition for his contributions to education. He founded ContinUdent (www.ContinUdent.com) an online course focused on demystification and implementation of the immediate full arch fixed implant solution in to the everyday armamentarium of practice. He participates as an advisor for the Northwest Indiana Dental Study club a component of the Seattle Study Club. He previously served as the team Maxillofacial Surgeon for the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League from 1999 – 2006. He is a member of the American board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a fellow of the American College of Dentists. He has lectured and presented nationally and internationally on innovation and technology with specific interest in Oral Systemic Health, Artificial Intelligence, Salivary Diagnostics, Bone adhesives, and immediate full mouth surgical reconstruction. He brings a unique perspective to our profession ranging from academics, business, entrepreneurship and creativity. He has participated in roles such as Advisor, Investor, chief dental officer and mentor for start ups and accelerator/incubators and VC’s. Dr Pulver has been selected as a working member on the recently created American Dental Association Standards Committee on AI. He is honored to be co-chairing the ADA white paper subsection, on Workflow/future/patient benefits. Dr Pulver’s interests are diverse. He graduated from Second City Comedy Chicago where he completed Improv levels A – F and Stand up in 2016-17. He is an avid skier, intermittent faster, futurist, innovator and likes to exercise, enjoy family, friends, wine and a little bourbon.
